BARRE, Vt. — The Vermont Agency of Transportation reports that Vermont Route 121 continues to be limited to one lane of traffic controlled by signals.
Route 121 is scheduled for a full closure from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday to place concrete for work on the Interstate 91 southbound bridge deck.
On the Interstate, southbound traffic will continue to be diverted onto the northbound barrel. Northbound traffic is limited to the right-hand lane of travel on I-91 North, and a 55-mph speed reduction is in place on I-91 within the project area. Fines are doubled for speeding within the construction zone.
On Thursday Interstate Bridges (21N and 21S), will have crews preparing for the last deck pour.
The contractor will also begin reinstalling the river access roads damaged during July’s flooding.
Subcontractors will also be onsite working on reconstructing the northern roadway approach.
