Blood Drive at Lake Sunapee Methodist Church

Eagle Times Staff
Sunapee, N.H. — The American Red Cross will be visiting Lake Sunapee United Methodist Church from noon to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, and invites everyone to schedule a blood donation appointment by visiting https://tinyurl.com/yx29tzc8.

Attendees can either donate a pint of “whole blood,” or may be eligible to make a “Power Red” donation, which allows for someone to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning their plasma and platelets to them, according to the Red Cross.

The blood collected is used to respond to patient emergencies, including accident and burn victims, newborns and emergency transfusions during birth, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer, or sickle cell disease and more.

All blood types are needed for donations.
