Four locals won first place in two golf flights this past weekend during the Claremont Country Club’s Men’s Member Tournament. The winners for “A” Flight were Michael Zombeck and Bob Trabka for first place, Zach Melcher and Cam Blewitt for second place and in third place, after a playoff to break the tie, Dan Richardson and Mark Smolnik. The “B” Flight winners were Brandon LeBlanc and Warren LaRocque, Ron Nelson and Todd Scranton in second place and Shawn Morin and Wayne Lallo came in third.
Members partnered up and played a “best ball” format over two days of competition. The two flights included six teams and while the weather wasn’t the best, the teams played regardless. The Claremont Country Club is a 9-hole course, open to the public, in Claremont, NH.
