Ludlow Auditorium to Screen ‘Green Book’

LUDLOW, VT — “Green Book” is the Friends of Ludlow Auditorium’s next featured movie. It will be shown at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, in Ludlow Town Hall’s Heald Auditorium.

Released in 2018, “Green Book” is a heartwarming and thought-provoking film directed by Peter Farrelly. Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali star in the principal roles. Set against the backdrop of the racially segregated Deep South in the 1960s, the movie tells the true story of a remarkable friendship that transcends prejudice and societal norms.

The movie received widespread critical acclaim for its portrayal of friendship and its examination of race relations in America. Critics praised the performances of Mortensen and Ali, who brought their characters to life with depth and authenticity. The film’s humor, compassion, and uplifting message resonated with audiences and critics alike, making it a standout in the genre of feel-good cinema.
