Patricia F. Lucarelli WINDSOR, VT -Patricia F. Lucarelli, 87, died on Thursday, September 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and guardian cat at her home in Windsor. She was born on October 16, 1935, in Sudbury, VT to Roy C. and Flossie Bell (Ryder) Morse. She married Jim Lucarelli on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1953, in Windsor. For nearly seven decades she and Jim loved and supported one another, traveled, had adventures, ran a farm with registered Polled Hereford cattle and horses, and enjoyed their home on Mascoma Lake, before finally settling back in Windsor. Pat was a strong woman who never shied away from hard work and doing what needed to be done. When Jim died a little over one year ago, she was committed to doing whatever was necessary to stay in the home that they loved and shared, even if it was difficult. Pat’s devotion to her family, friends, and community was all encompassing. She was always ready for a social visit, a meal out at the 99 Restaurant for good conversation and catching up, a Red Hat Lady excursion, or a chat on the telephone. She looked forward to and cherished the annual Christmas reunions, certain to be held in a venue large enough for everyone to be welcome and included. She also volunteered as a caregiver and with the Mt. Ascutney Hospital Ladies’ Aid organization. Pat’s Catholic faith was a guide for her in both happy and difficult times and the community of her home parish of St. Francis of Assisi Church brought her comfort throughout her life. Her family is exceedingly grateful for the many friends and neighbors who helped make it possible for her to remain home in later years. She never wanted to be separated from it or her beloved cat Boo Boo. Much gratitude as well to Bayada Hospice who helped both Jim and Pat remain comfortable and at home at the end of their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; one daughter, Janet Lucarelli; and one brother Roy Morse, Jr. She is survived by four children, Jeffrey Lucarelli and wife Jean of Claremont, New Hampshire, Julie Hall and husband Larry of Croydon, New Hampshire, Jay Lucarelli and wife Tracy of Argyle, New York, and Jackie Lucarelli of Cour d’Alene, Idaho; a sister Connie Jones and partner Jim, of Trout Creek, MT; six grandchildren, Jayson, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Hillary, Jenny, and Anthony; fifteen great grandchildren; her beloved cat Boo Boo, and other relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Windsor and burial of her urn next to Jim will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society or Bayada Hospice.
