Robert F. Hutchinson Sr. TILTON, NH -Robert F Hutchinson Sr, 96, formerly of Newport, NH died peacefully at home on Monday September 25th with loving wife of 75 years and family nearby. He was born November 2, 1926 in Springfield VT. The son of Ernest & Margaret (Cobb) Hutchinson. He graduated from Springfield, VT High School, where he was a pitcher for the 1944 Championship Baseball Team. He was a sergeant during WWII. He married Marjorie O’Hara on May 15, 1948. They were longtime residents of Newport, NH and most recently of Tilton, NH. He was a former member of Sunapee Region Archers, and the Newport Area Sunshine Stampers Square Dance Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and square dancing. Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Marjorie O’Hara Hutchinson, daughter, Susan H Cameron, son, Robert F Hutchinson JR, and wife, Susan (Durgin) Hutchinson, 3 grandchildren Kathleen, Jennifer and Peter Cameron, and 1 great grandson Ryan Smith. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers Elmer, Donald, Harry, Kenneth, and Victor, and by 2 sisters Irene Lovell and Eva Perry. Any memorial contributions can be made to Franklin VNA & Hospice.
