Charged: In-State Arrest Warrant

Timothy Lee George Sr., 29, was taken into custody on Sept. 19, without incident by Officers Guzzo and Singleton of the Springfield Police Department for an in-state arrest warrant. George Sr. was processed in Springfield before being later transferred to Windsor County Criminal Court to answer the charge.

Charged: Fugitive from Justice 

On Saturday, Sept. 16, at approximately 8:18 a.m., Ashley Williams was arrested without incident as a Fugitive from Justice. According to Officer Guzzo with the Springfield Police Department, Williams was observed walking eastbound in the area of River Street and was known to have an extraditable out-of-state warrant. A criminal citation was issued for Williams to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Windsor on Monday, Sept. 18, to answer the charge.

Charged: Resisting Arrest

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, the Springfield Police Department responded to a reported family dispute at a residence on Dogwood Lane. Investigation by Officer Foucher revealed that Michael Marrone of Springfield had an active arrest warrant; while officers were trying to place Marrone into handcuffs, he intentionally attempted to prevent the lawful arrest. He was taken to Southern State Correctional Facility and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division Windsor Unit on Tuesday, Sept. 19, to answer the charges.

Charged: Fugitive from Justice Detained

On Thursday, Sept. 21, at 8:50 a.m., a member of the Probation and Parole department located at 100 Mineral Street, called Springfield Police Department dispatch to notify of an individual in the office with a known extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire. Officer Guzzo arrived and identified the male as Joseph E. LeClair, 37. He was arrested without incident and issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Thursday, Sept. 21, to answer the charge.

Charged: Trespassing Violation

On Thursday, Aug. 10, at approximately 8:07 p.m., employees of the Springfield McDonald’s called and advised that Donald Thorpe, 68, had allegedly been on the grounds of the restaurant after having trespassed two days prior. An employee provided a sworn written statement detailing the incident. On Aug. 15, officers of the Springfield Police Department cited the defendant for trespassing and other offenses related to this incident.
