Bernice E. (Chambers) Sheridan CLAREMONT, NH -Bernice Ella (Chambers) Sheridan, age 97, died peacefully on September 4, 2023. Bernice was born on June 28, 1926 to Frank and Annie (Langley) Chambers. After retiring in 1988, Bernice volunteered at the Green Mountain Children’s Center for almost three decades. Her passion was spending time and caring for children. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with family. Bernice is survived by her brother Francis Chambers, Granddaughters Lori Baker, Vicki Cramer and her husband Michael Cramer, Michelle Parenteau and Christopher Stone, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great-great children and numerous nieces and nephews. Known by many in the community as “Granny”. She enjoyed traveling to Rhode Island visiting extended family and friends, cooking, listening to the radio, and watching classic movies and shows. Granny had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. Bernice was truly one of God’s angels. Granny, may Almighty God bless. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home located at 42 Main Street, Newport, NH 03773. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Green Mountain Children’s Center, 90 Charlestown Road, Claremont, NH 03743.
