Robert F. Dauphin CLAREMONT, NH -Robert F. Dauphin, 71, of Claremont, NH, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on October 6, 2023. He was born on May 6, 1952 in Claremont, NH to the late Albert P. and Barbara (Clark) Dauphin. Bob as people knew him attended schools in Claremont and graduated from Stevens High School in 1970. In 1980 Bob met the love of his life Carol Geary, and were married 2 years later on September 25, 1982 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Claremont, NH. Bob worked for J & L Manufacturing in Springfield, VT until their closing in 1987. He was then transferred to the Fellows Gear Shaper in Springfield. Bob enjoyed life and spending time with his family. You could always find him in the garage working on his 1950’s John Deere tractor, his old Ford tractor, or working on something that needed to be fixed. He was quite the “tinkerer” and always had multiple projects going on at once. He also loved to work in his vegetable and flower gardens with his wife. Bob is survived by his wife Carol Dauphin of 41 years, his 3 daughters, Erica Leonard and her husband John of Claremont, Lindsey Dauphin and her companion Robert Thompson of Claremont, Kassandra Martin and her husband Brian of Claremont, his 3 grandchildren Parker Barrette, Riley and Benjamin Leonard, and his soon to be grandchild Sofia Thompson. He is also survived by his siblings Andrew Dauphin and his companion Tony Zullo, David Dauphin and his husband Bruce Murphy, Jean Girard and Joan Buck and her husband David. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home located at 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am. A memorial service will follow starting at 11:00am with the Rev. John Loughnane officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Claremont, NH following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the Sullivan County Humane Society, P.O Box 111, Claremont, NH 03743.
