Robert A. Belaire CLAREMONT, NH -Robert A. Belaire passed away on October 17, 2023 at the Jack Byrne Center surrounded by his family. He was born on April 28, 1943, the son of Alfred and Winifred (Young) Belaire in Claremont, NH. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in the class of 1961. He then joined the US Navy and served for 4 years working as an electrician. His career after the Navy was working at the New England Phone Company until he retired in 1995. On June 25, 1966, he married his wife Jean (Sanders). They shared 57 years of love and happiness. Throughout his life he was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus-Father Cote Council where he held the office of Faithful Comptroller and he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing pool, and his weekly coffee club but most of all, spending time with his family. He leaves behind his wife, Jean, his sons, Mark and his wife Amy, Tom and his wife Veronica, a daughter, Nora Byrne and her husband Jason, grandchildren, Katelyn Ward and her husband Garrett, Julia Belaire, Evan Belaire, Alexis Byrne, Haley Belaire, and Sydney Byrne. He also is survived by his brother, Joel and his wife Kathy. Bob was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws, Julia and Frank Sanders, and his sister-in-law, Kathy Wojciechowski. Calling hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Monday, October 23rd, from 5-7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held St Mary Church on Tuesday, October 24th, at 11 AM. Burial will follow in West Claremont Burial Ground with military honors.
