LANGDON, NH — Fall Mountain Regional High School (FMRHS) and the Ashuelot Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Keene announced Friday, Oct. 20, that senior Braydon Lockhart is the DAR Good Citizen for the 2023-2024 school year.
The DAR Good Citizen program and scholarship contest encourages and rewards the qualities of good citizenship.
Students selected for this award must be dependable, truthful, loyal and punctual. Good Citizens must also be cooperative, courteous and considerate of others and demonstrate leadership qualities, including personality, self-control and the ability to assume responsibility.
DAR Good Citizens are patriots with an unselfish interest in family, school, the community and the nation.
Lockhart is the National Honor Society President and an executive council member of the Class of 2024. He is the son of Matthew and Robin Lockhart of Charlestown, and represents FMRHS on the baseball, soccer and quiz bowl teams and holds a part-time job at Ace Hardware.
The DAR, the largest women’s service organization in the world, has more than 180,000 members with approximately 3,000 chapters in all 50 states and 13 foreign countries and promotes patriotism through commemorative celebrations, memorials, scholarships, activities for children and programs for new immigrants.
