Members of First Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) will host an ecumenical peace vigil from 5 p.m. — 5:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30.
The event is open to the public — people of all faiths or none are invited to meet in the Sanctuary for a quiet service focusing on peace in the Middle East and throughout the world. The church is at 27 Pleasant St., Claremont.
The service will include readings, music and prayer.
“Sometimes, the world seems too much and all suffering, even half around the world, weighs heavily on our souls,” The Rev. Maggie Monroe-Cassel of First Congregational said. “This service is an opportunity to find a moment to breathe and quiet the soul.”
For questions or more information, please contact the church at 603-542-6342 or visit its website at fcclaremont.weebly.com.
