LEBANON, NH — The West Central Behavorial Health board of directors has named Alexander J. Horvath as interim president and CEO of the agency. Horvath will bring his extensive health care and organizational leadership experience to WCBH.
“AJ Horvath is a remarkably strong and engaging leader who will put his talent to good use in this important role,” says Will Torrey MD, interim board chair.
West Central Behavorial Health is a community mental health center for the Upper Valley and Sullivan County regions, including Claremont and Newport. It ensures access to advanced counseling, treatment and support for people of all ages and income levels.
Horvath will be joining a highly committed, effective and experienced leadership team that believes in the mission of making high-quality treatment of mental illness and substance abuse use disorders accessible for all who live in Sullivan and lower Grafton counties.
“We are looking forward to working with and welcoming AJ to our team. His deep knowledge of health care and community mental health administration will allow us to continue to make improvements while caring for those of us in our communities who need this level of service,” said the leadership team in a collective statement.
Horvath will serve while the center conducts a national search for the replacement of Dr. Roger Osmun, who led the organization through the many requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic. He propelled the agency forward with federal grants so the organization could provide teletherapy and mobile mental health services.
With locations in Claremont, Lebanon, and Newport, NH, WCBH serves adults, families and children. Mobile crisis response may be accessed via the New Hampshire Rapid Response Access Point. Learn more online at wcbh.org.
