Carol P. Saceric

Carol P. Saceric PROCTOR, VT -Carol P Saceric 76, of Proctor passed away on October 19, 2023, from a brief illness at the RRMC. Carol was born on September 26, 1947, to Raymond and Adele (Beriau) Parker at the Rutland Hospital.Carol graduated high school from Otter Valley Union High School in 1965 and Vermont Beauty Academy in 1966. Carol obtained her mangers license and teaching credentials in 1968 and taught until 1973 when Carol found the desire to work in the legal field and went on to work as a legal secretary for the next 13 years.Carol’s true passion was helping others, and she went on to work for the next 20 years for the West Rutland School District as a paraeducator aiding children with special needs. On her time off and vacations from school Carol worked as a secretary for Enman’s Engineering. Upon retirement, Carol realized after five months, it really wasn’t for her. She decided that she needed to continue her work helping others and went to work for the Council on Aging as a Senior Companion, where she continued to work until she went into the hospital. In 1980 Carol married Arthur Saceric, they built a home in Proctor, Vt and had many wonderful years together. They shared a passion for pets and took in many pets over the years. Carol is survived by her husband Arthur Saceric of Proctor. Stepdaughter Julie Francis of Saratoga Springs, NY, stepson, Jason Saceric (Jessica) of Proctor and stepson Joseph Saceric of Austin TX. Also, step grandchildren Owen and Mackenzie Saceric. She also leaves her sister Linda Mitchell (Harold) nephew Eric Mitchell (Tonya) great niece Ember great nephew Gage as well as her Aunt Joan Ratti (Bernie) and Uncle Dick Beriau (Christine) and a special friend Marykate MacHardy. Carol will be remembered for beautiful smile and generous heart that touched so many. Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. There will be no services at this time. The family asks that if you wish, to make donations to Rutland County Humane Society.
