Stevens senior earns championship belt

Eagle Times Staff
Stevens Cardinals senior Kiley Bundy earned the championship belt this past weekend, Nov. 11-12, at the Zero Gravity Battle in Half Moon, NY, as a member of the varsity New England Jayhawks.

“Kiley Bundy was a floor general this weekend,” said Eric Fazio, New England Jayhawks head coach. “She helped set up the offense and controlled the tempo of the game on both sides of the floor. Bundy finished the weekend with 12 three pointers and a number of assists and steals to help lead her team to the championship.”

The Jayhawks finished out the weekend 4-0 defeating the 845 Venom.

“Faz knows the game well and is very smart on how he coaches,” said Bundy. “He is one of my favorite coaches and has pushed me to be better and more consistent. This weekend was a blast, both teams won the belt with very good competition. AAU has prepared me to play through the hard fouls and kept me with a ball in my hand. Basketball season isn’t just in the winter, it’s all year round for me.”
