Michael Burnham

Michael Burnham SPRINGFIELD, VT -Michael Burnham passed away at his home in Springfield, VT on 11/11/23. He is survived by his son Jeff Burnham, sister Patricia Abraham, sister Laurie Charlot, brother John, grand-daughter Aisha and grandson Ethan. Michael lived a life of service. After graduating high school from his home town of Quincy, MA he entered the Army National Guard. He went on to meat cutting and eventually was part owner a small business, the Walpole Beef Company. For many years Michael worked part time as a fire fighter and police officer of for the Town of Charlestown, NH. Michael eventually became a full-time police officer for the Town of Charlestown and retired from the department as Police Chief. Predeceased by his wife Patricia Burnham, sister Ann Victoria, mother Myra Kaeton, and father Howard Burnham. Michael’s passions included helping others, working on his hobby farm, sailing, fishing, and most often helping others with his tractor. A remembrance and celebration of life will be held at the Charlestown Fire Department on December 2, 2023 from 1-3pm. A private burial will occur in the spring. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, please send donations in Michael’s name to the Charlestown Fire Department, Old Fort #4 Fire and Hose Company.
