Two found dead in Claremont home

CLAREMONT, NH — Two individuals were found dead at a Claremont residence on Wednesday, Dec. 6, after Emergency Services were dispatched for a welfare check.

The deceased were located at 69 Stewart Ave. after arriving on scene following a concerned report. Names of the individuals have not been released yet pending notification of next of kin.

The Claremont Police Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are actively engaged in that investigation to determine the causes and manners of death.

In a joint press release, Fire Chief James Chamberlain and Police Chief Brent Wilmot state they believe the manners of death are not suspicious and the cause remains under investigation. There is no danger to the public.
