NEWPORT, NH — The Newport Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes all to join their free annual holiday festival, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. On Saturday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., bring the family down to celebrate holiday magic: holiday shopping, entertainment and festivities will all be in one location.
Grab a complimentary Passport to Santa and visit local businesses throughout Main Street for fun holiday treats and games. Once the passport is complete, go down to the Opera House for a picture with Santa.
The holiday activities are endless: write a letter to Santa, enjoy holiday crafts, receive a complimentary book from the Jake Maxfield Connection, get face-painted at Petal Patch, have a cup of hot cocoa, roast marshmallows at the fire department’s bonfire, take horse and wagon rides and more. The Newport Recreation Department will also be hosting their annual Chili Walk on Main Street from 4 to 6 p.m.
