Corrections appeals for help to find Charlestown parolee

Eagle Times Staff
CHARLESTOWN, NH — The New Hampshire Corrections Department has issued a wanted poster for Charlestown, NH, resident Steven Gilbert Bennett.

Corrections released Bennett, 49, from incarceration on July 11 and he was placed on parole. He is now considered a flight risk and a parole warrant was issued on Nov. 17, as the department believes Bennett has “absconded from parole supervision.”

Bennett, who was in custody for theft, “has a lengthy criminal record that dates back nearly three decades. His convictions include, but are not limited to, escape, possession of controlled drugs, sales of controlled drugs, theft and assault.”

Corrections is seeking any information that may lead to Bennett’s location or arrest. He is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with blue eyes, blond or strawberry hair and weighing 215 pounds. He is missing fingers on his right hand and has a scar on his left wrist.

Anyone with information about Bennett can contact Corrections or their local police department.
