The Southern Vermont and New Hampshire regions weathered six to 12 inches of snow already but is expecting more late Tuesday afternoon, according to weather analysts from the Vermont and New Hampshire Weather Services.
“There will be anticipated rainfall in Windsor, Vermont County,” said Brian Gambreo, science operations officer of the Vermont branch of the National Weather Service. On Tuesday skies will be become partly cloudy with a variable afternoon wind chill factor of up to 25 miles an hour in the afternoon,” he added. “On Tuesday night, we can expect at least a half foot of snow, and potentially another inch or two of rain.”
The New Hampshire branch of the National Weather Service indicates similar predictions across the Connecticut River into the Sullivan County area.
Justin Perry, who monitors New Hampshire for the National Weather Service, said although rain might not be as intense in New Hampshire, people should expect to be prepared for an influx of six or more inches of snow Tuesday night and minor precipitation Tuesday throughout the day.
“This is what is that looks like in the Sullivan County: We’re going to see snow that’s going to start Tuesday night and it’s probably going to turn to rain into Wednesday. Now and then, small streams could come out of the bank, but the rest will clear up during Thursday,” he said.
