Windsor

NORWICH, VT — This past Saturday, Jan 6, the Windsor Yellow Jackets indoor track team competed in the Northeast Invitational at Norwich University, hosted by Saint Johnsbury.

For the men’s team, Justin Draper took 5th in the 55-meter dash and is still 4th in Division II in the 55-meter dash. Tylor Saragusa took 24th out of 46th in the 300-meter dash and 13th in the long jump with a personal record of 4.77 meters (15’7.75) making him 16th in Division II. Eban Margolis took 10th in the 600 with a personal record time of 1:44.39 and is now 13th in Division II in the 600.

For the women’s team Ise Ciccarelli took 15th in the long jump with a personal record of 3.54 me-ters (11’7.25). Emma Simino got her third straight personal record in both the 300-meter dash with a time of 51.59 and 600 meter with a time of 2:00.17, making her now 5th in Division II in the 600.

Woodstock, VT — On Friday, Jan. 5, the Windsor Yellow Jackets (7-0) traveled to Woodstock (2-6) in another easy contest for the Yellow Jackets who remained undefeated and untested with a 69-17 victory.

Windsor led 29-2 after the first quarter with Sophia Rockwood leading the way with 10 points on her way to a game high 21 points. At halftime the Yellow Jackets were ahead 46-7 as they put the game on cruise control.

Sydney Perry had a monster game with 8 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals and 6 assists. Brianna Barton had herself a game with 14 points. Audrey Rupp scored 11 points and dished out 5 assists. Cassie Clark contributed 10 points and 6 rebounds. Woodstock’s Chloe Bruso led the Wasps team with 14 points.

Windsor (7-0) will take on the Brattleboro Bears (2-3) at home at 7 tonight, Jan 9.

MANCHESTER, VT — On Friday, Jan. 5, the Windsor Yellow Jackets (4-4) faced off with the Burr & Burton Bulldogs (4-4).

Windsor was up 2 points at the half, but the lead evaporated after four 3-point shots on the back of a 21-10 third quarter by Division I Burr & Burton Academy to put Windsor away. Burr & Burton had three players in double figures while Windsor was led by sophomore Noah Jenks with 27 points, seniors Brady Olmstead and Corey Lockwood chipped in 8 and 7 respectively.

Windsor (4-4) will take on the Hartford Hurricanes (7-1) at home this Wednesday, Jan 10, at 7 p.m.
