HCRS welcomes Jean Warner as Director of Developmental Services

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Health Care and Rehabilitation Services (HCRS), southeastern Vermont’s non-profit community mental-health agency, has announced the appointment of Jean Warner as their new Director of Developmental Services. Warner brings with her a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

Warner joined HCRS in 2022, assuming the role of DS Area Manager in the Bellows Falls office. Her journey with HCRS has been marked by dedication, expertise, and a profound understanding of the developmental services field. Jean holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Maine and boasts over 28 years of experience in various roles within the developmental services sector.

“Jean has already infused our senior leadership team with a fresh perspective and demonstrated thoughtful leadership. Her expertise has been invaluable to our agency, and we’re thrilled to promote her into this new role,” said HCRS CEO, George Karabakakis, Ph.D.

Throughout her career, Warner has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a passion for empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives on their own terms. Her extensive training in supported employment services, person-centered planning facilitation, and cultural competence reflects her commitment to fostering inclusive and person-centered support systems.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field, Warner was honored with the Robert Hemingway Leadership Award in 2004, underscoring her commitment to excellence and innovation.

HCRS is confident that Warner’s leadership will further strengthen its mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate, and person-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities across the community.
