SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — The Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) is leading several educational evening cruises in Vermont and New Hampshire to provide an enjoyable and educational experience on the water as the summer begins.
CRC’s Vermont River Steward/Director of Policy and Advocacy Kathy Urffer, and New Hampshire River Steward Kate Buckman, will be on the boats to share valuable insights related to clean water, restoration projects, hydropower relicensing and policy considerations for the Connecticut River and tributaries.
The first cruise took place in Hinsdale, New Hampshire on June 18 and three more dates are still on the horizon. This event is most appropriate for people over the age of 15. The cruises will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on June 25 in Springfield, Vermont, July 10 in Thetford, Vermont and July 16 in Littleton, New Hampshire.
This event is free but has a suggested donation of $15 for those able to support the Connecticut River Conservancy’s mission of clean water, healthy habitats and resilient communities as part of this event series. More details can be found at ctriver.org/events.
