CONCORD, N.H. — Beating out large, private and national competitors, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) has been named one of the top 10 retailers in the country for the fifth year in a row in this year’s Beverage Dynamics Top 100 Retailers Awards. The annual awards recognize leading retailers, such as liquor stores or supermarket chains, that demonstrate innovation, excellent customer service and superior beverage alcohol industry knowledge. NHLC, which operates 65 NH Liquor & Wine Outlet retail locations across New Hampshire and serves more than 12 million customers each year, placed sixth in this year’s awards and was the only control state in the country to be named one of Beverage Dynamics’s top-10 retailers.

“NHLC is honored to be recognized among the leading off-premise beverage alcohol retailers for the fifth year in a row,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica. “To be the only control state on the list of top 10 retailers in the country is a true testament to the value we provide our 12 million annual customers. This recognition wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our entire team, who work tirelessly every day to deliver high-quality products, exceptional customer service and an unrivaled shopping experience. We are grateful to Beverage Dynamics for recognizing NHLC’s success and hard work.”

To be considered for the Beverage Dynamics Top 100 Retailers Awards, retailers may nominate themselves or be nominated by an industry member, such as a distributor, supplier, or industry association. The nominees are judged by the Beverage Dynamics editorial team, and winners are chosen to represent a diverse cross-section of the off-premise industry.

All winners were featured in the July issue of Beverage Dynamics magazine. The Top 100 Retailer Awards were presented to winners at the seventh-annual Beverage Alcohol Retailers Conference, held on June 19 in Chicago, Illinois.

“Once again we have recognized the New Hampshire Liquor Commission as a Top 100 Retailer in the country for their world-class service and selection, and admirable commitment to promoting public safety,” says Kyle Swartz, Editor, Beverage Dynamics magazine. “NHLC is among the best of the best in beverage alcohol retail. And from a personal perspective, as a New Englander myself, I have shopped at their stores my entire life, and have always come away impressed with their prices, customer service, whiskey lottery program and clean, well-designed stores.”

In addition to Beverage Dynamics, NHLC was the only control state to be named a “Best Value Retailer” and “Retailer of the Year Finalist” in Wine Enthusiast’s 22nd Annual Wine Star Awards. Last year, StateWays Magazine also recognized NHLC in its annual Control State Best Practices Awards for its alcohol responsibility programming and retail innovations.
