Upcoming trivia nights spread awareness for local arts

CLAREMONT, N.H. — Challenge your creative knowledge this summer as the Claremont Opera House (COH) teams up with the CrowBar Hardware Store, a speakeasy-style restaurant and bar, for a series of arts-focused trivia nights in historic downtown Claremont. As the COH gears up for the upcoming 2024-2025 Season, join in for four lively trivia events celebrating music, arts and pop culture.

Trivia nights will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 17, July 31, Aug. 14, and Aug. 28 at the CrowBar, 38 Opera House Square, Claremont, NH. Teams can have anywhere from one to six players. COH Board Members Chris Qualls and Dana McGrath will be hosting the events.

These trivia nights are designed to celebrate the impressive breadth of arts and culture, with categories spanning from classical music and fine arts to contemporary pop culture and iconic films. Compete for bragging rights as the top team of the night and a chance to win an excellent prize generously provided by the CrowBar.

“Summer is quieter for us, so we thought it would be fun to partner with a classy, local restaurant, keep COH top of mind in the community and test people on their knowledge of a whole span of arts-related topics,” said Dana McGrath, current board secretary of the Claremont Opera House. “It also helps us spread awareness as we get ready for an already extensive lineup of upcoming shows this season starting in September.

Participation is absolutely free. While donations to the COH are encouraged, they are not required. All participants are responsible for their own food and drink orders and purchases.
