CLAREMONT, N.H. — Claremont Opera House announces its upcoming community theater production of “She Kills Monsters,” a dramatic comedy written by award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen. Attend a performance on Aug. 9 or Aug. 10 starting at 7:30 p.m. each evening for a journey that bridges reality and fantasy, exploring themes of grief, identity, and self-discovery.
“She Kills Monsters” tells the story of Agnes Evans, a young woman dealing with the loss of her sister, Tilly. To connect with Tilly and understand her better, Agnes dives into a Dungeons & Dragons module created by her sister. In the game world, Agnes pursues the quest to save Tilly’s soul and discovers new aspects of herself along the way.
Join Claremont Opera House and community actors for a comedic romp laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and late 20th century popular culture. Directed by local resident Sebastian Taylor, this production promises to be a heartfelt and humorous experience for all ages.
Tickets are available online at COHNH.ORG for $15-$20, with all fees included. Please note that all attendees must use the grand staircase via City Hall for access to the Opera House. The city elevator is currently out of service due to ongoing construction.
