CHAZZOHOWITZKA, FL –Donald E Russell, Sr, 81 of Chazzohowitzka, FL passed on July 17, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends.Predeceased by his wife MaryAnn, both parents, Arthur “Sim” and Bertha [Chadwick) Russell, son Michael, brothers Arthur and George. He is survived by sons Donald Jr and wife Tami, Epsom, Bradley, Newbury, Joseph, NC, daughter Tammy, Newbury, sister Elaine Richardson, Newport and a brother William of FL, niece’s and nephews and many friends. He had 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was born and raised in Newbury and lived in the Newport Sunapee area. He owned Russell Building Contractors in Sunapee for many years. He then began working for Stumbo Co and traveled through out the US before settling in Chazz. He became builder / owner of Russell Boats, handcrafted wooden boats for fishing.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He lived a full life and exactly the way he wanted!
A celebration of life will be held on 9/28/24 at the Newport Moose Lodge from 1-4.
