THE DART HELICOPTER makes an appearance for families to explore the inside and outside of the physical emergency transport flyer. On Aug. 6, more than 400 people attended the National Night Out community block party thrown by local emergency services. The event included, baseball, darts, cornhole games, food and live music from local band Rust and Ruin. This year’s theme was celebrating the work done to cope with catastrophic flooding on July 10, 2023.
Chester Police Chief Tom Williams said the annual event included 52 volunteers, a year of planning with seven months of active preparation and was funded by a $11,000 grant from the Vermont Community Foundation.
