BARRE, Vt. — Rains originally forecasted to come into the greater Barre, Vermont area at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday were then predicted to come in at 7:30 p.m. and actually dragged over the skies of Thunder Road at 4:30 p.m. A short window allowed 30 minutes of Flying Tiger and Late Model practice before rain returned without a positive or accurate end-time, forcing officials to postpone the Community College of Vermont program to Sunday, Aug. 18.

All pit passes and general admission rain checks from Thursday, Aug. 8 will be honored this Sunday, Aug. 11 for the Vermont Lottery Twilight Special headlined by the Myers Container Triple Crown Series Round No. 2.
Next up for Thunder Road is the make-up date for the rain-postponed Vermont Lottery Night at Thunder Road headlined by Round No. 2 of the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers. The four-division card will also include the Maplefield/Irving Late Models, rk Miles Street Stocks and the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors with a 5 p.m. Post Time. Adult General Admission is available for $15 with kids 12-6 for $5 and children 5 and under free. The Family Four Pack (two adults, two kids) will also be available for $30.
