CLAREMONT, NH –Ronald Alvin Stevens, 84, passed away peacefully following a short illness on August 12, 2024, surrounded by family.
Ronald was born in Claremont, NH on June 12, 1940 to Fred A and Helen (Arlosky) Stevens.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Gillette) Stevens, and his brother, Larry Stevens. Ronald graduated from Stevens High School in 1958 and then proudly entered the US Air Force until his discharge in 1964. He was a hardworking husband and father spending his working years as a supervisor / foreman in the manufacturing world.
Ron is survived by his children, Liane (Mark) Schubring of Hickory, NC, and their children, Rhandi and her fiancée Alastair, Jared, Hunter, Hayden and Kylie, Corey (Kristi) Stevens of Cornish, NH and their children, Nate and Cameron, Larissa Stevens of Claremont NH, and her children Jacob and Brennan, his sister, Diana (John) Gauthier of Claremont, NH and his brother, Keith (Wendy) of Claremont NH, and 2 great grandchildren.
Ron enjoyed bowling, softball, horseshoes, family vacations and social gatherings. He loved visiting Norwich University and North Carolina. He enjoyed eating out, home cooked meals, yard sales and hosting barbecues. Ron was well known for his wisecrack humor and firm beliefs.
Please join his family for a celebration of life Sunday, September 22nd from 3-6pm at the Claremont Elks Club. There will be a private burial for the family.
