MARGARET DRYE/COURTESY PHOTO The Unity Historical Society presented the "Unity Cane" to Barbara Hathaway, the eldest resident, at 94. The cane was given to her by selectman John Callum at the Sept. 22 ceremony. The cane, given to the oldest resident in Unity, was made by Jack Caldon of Lempster and is housed in a display case made by Brandon White of Newport.
