Newport Senior Center News 

NEWPORT, N.H. — The Newport Senior Center is in the “Sunshine Town” of Newport, New Hampshire. No matter what the weather is outside, you will find warmth and smiling faces shining bright when you enter our center for our Annual Craft Fair & Bake Sale on Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

If you are a passionate crafter looking to showcase your one-of-a-kind creation, look no further. The Newport Senior Center is excited to be able to help you showcase your jewelry, sewn creations, wood craft and other types of handmade goodness. 

Vendor 8×8 spaces are now available for only $25. Vendor applications are available at the Newport Senior Center. Applications can be picked up Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any questions regarding the craft fair, please call 863-4422 and leave a message.  

No craft fair is complete without food. If you have a special recipe you would like to share, consider donating your baked items for the bake sale. Baked goods can be dropped off on Friday, Nov. 15.  

Don’t wait until the last minute to start your Christmas shopping. Mark your calendars and plan your Christmas shopping spree now. Planning now will help you avoid the black Friday crowds.   

While you are there, do not forget to get your 12 Days of Christmas Raffle ticket. Tickets are only $5 each and benefit Meals-on-Wheels in Sullivan County. Thanks to our generous sponsors, Mascoma Bank, LaValley Building Supply, and Eastern Propane, you could win $100 or more in cash or prizes every day for 12 days.  

If you missed the first Revo Casino event, do not fret. There is another chance for you to help raise money for the Newport Senior Center and Meals-on-Wheels. You have all the fun, laughter and enjoyment while playing thrilling games like Ultimate Fire Link, Devil’s Lock, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to help fight food insecurity, isolation and loneliness in your community.  

Revo Casino is the place you want to be Dec. 6 through Dec. 10. You may just hit that jackpot in time for the holidays. Stop by the Newport Senior Center to get your $10 free game play voucher before you leave.

If you are making plans for Thanksgiving, be sure to join SCNS, and staff, for our Annual Thanksgiving dinner feast. Thanksgiving dinner includes turkey and all the fixings. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 863-3177.  

SCNS Thanksgiving dinner will be held on Nov. 21 at 11:45 a.m., at the Newport Senior Center. This delicious meal is available for only $4.50 donation. Reserve now before seats are gone.
