THE SEVENTH AND eighth grade CVWPL Bellows Falls Purple Dawgs football team closed out their season with a 20-12 win under the lights at Hadley Field hosting Mascoma Valley Indian River School from Canaan, New Hampshire. Mascoma took the opening kick and drove down the field to score at 5:57 and lead 6-0. The Purple Dawgs scored as time was running out in the first half at 1:41, the E P attempt failed for a 6-6 tie at the Half. The second half became a defense battle until 5:14 of the fourth when the Purple Dawgs took the lead 14-6. The Dawgs scored again at 2:21 for a 20-6 lead. Mascoma returned the kick, scoring at 2:10 to cut the lead to 20-12. The Purple Dawgs were able to run out the clock to close out the season at 4-3. Mascoma ended their season at 5-3.
