ROCKINGHAM, VT– Kathleen Whitcomb (known as Katie to her friends and family) passes away Nov. 15, 2024 at her family’s home in Acworth due to complications from recent surgery. She was born April 26, 1979 in Rockingham Vt, the daughter of Richard and Joan Christie Whitcomb. Kathleen graduated from Fall Mountain and went on to become a medical assistant at River Valley Community College (formally NHCTC).
Kathleen loved spending time with her animals especially her cats, dogs and ponies. She enjoyed going to Pony Pulls and fairs with her family. She also took great joy in decorating for all the holidays and working in the gardens. She is survived by her mother Joan Whitcomb, one sister Kelly Canfield and brother-in-law Tom Canfield, their children Lilly, Hunter and Moxley. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by both sets of grandparents Whitcomb and Christie and by her father Richard (Buddy) Whitcomb.
Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers please hug your loved ones and fur babies as much as you can.
