Robert R. Hall

NEWPORT, NH– Robert Raymond Hall passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on November 19, 2024.  He was born on August 22, 1947 in North Reading, MA to the late Edward and Evelyn (Brown) Hall. 

Bob graduated from Quinsigamond College in 1982. He focused his work on a career as a lifelong finish carpenter throughout Newport and many other New Hampshire and Massachusetts locations.

For 49 years Bob shared his faith filled life with his wife and life partner Marcia (Annese) Hall. In 1993 they purchased an A-frame home in Newport that they updated and expanded with their own hands, making the house into the family home that it still is today.

Bob was a devout Catholic and prayer warrior who felt strongly that his faith, family and friends were of the utmost importance. He was an active and dedicated member of the St. Patrick’s and St. Joachims Catholic parishes. Over his years he and Marcia donated countless hours helping with many projects and events serving the The Lord and their parish family.

He and marcia met when they worked at The Hospitality House in Hopkinton MA in 1976, helping those who struggled with alcoholism. Bob was humbly sober for over 50 years.

His family remembers him as a nurturing, kind, gentle, patient and driven man who encouraged a true relationship with God and love for one another. Surviving family members include his wife, Marcia Hall; Son: Vance Hall, his wife Anne Hall; Daughter: Katie Paquette, son-in-law Thomas Paquette; sibling, Ruthanne, her husband Johnny Primo; Sister-in-law: Dottie Hall; Grandchildren: Tyler Hall, his wife Ashley Hall, Cameron Hall his fiancé Taylor Chester, Annalee Hall, Paige Hall, many loving family members as well as his brothers and sisters in Christ.

 Bob is predeceased by his sister Gale Hall and brother Kenny Hall.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 26, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 27 at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Newport with Burial to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  A reception will follow at St. Patrick’s function hall.
