SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Springfield Police arrested two people for multiple charges after surveilling a Park Street residence earlier this month.
According to a report by the Springfield Police Department, on Nov. 18 at 9:30 a.m., officers were conducting surveillance at a residence on Park Street in Springfield. While surveilling the residence, officers saw a vehicle pulling into the driveway, which was known to be operated by the defendant, Pedro Rodriguez. Rodriguez was also known to have an active in state arrest warrant for a felony and multiple misdemeanors with a bail set at $25,000.
The report stated that a man who matched the description of Rodriguez exited the vehicle and quickly entered the residence. After an investigation, the residence was seized and a search warrant was applied for, according to police.
“Soon after, a search warrant for the residence was sent to the Windsor County courts and was approved by a judge,” the report stated. “Just as the search warrant was going to be executed at the residence, Rodriguez gave up and exited the residence.”
Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Springfield Police Department for processing. He was subsequently taken to the Windsor County Criminal to answer to the charge of Arrest on an In-State Warrant.
After further investigation, Mallory Reynolds was also taken into custody without incident. She was taken to the Springfield Police Department for processing and was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal court at a later date for the charges of Impeding Public Officers, Obstruction of Justice and False Information to Law Enforcement.
Additional information regarding the defendants was requested from the courts, but was not available on Friday afternoon.
