PD arrests 2 for 141 grams of coke found in traffic stop 

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. — Bellows Falls Police continues to clean up the village of illicit drugs, and last week they arrested two men after allegedly finding 141 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop. 

On Nov. 27, Shalliek S. Ivory, 41, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine amounting to an ounce or more.  

Vincent O. Williams, 44, of Burlington, Vermont, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine amounting to an ounce or more, License Required and Arrest on Warrant. 

On Nov. 27, at 9:11 p.m., officers with the Bellows Falls Police Department pulled over a vehicle on Rockingham Street for a motor vehicle violation. When making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, officers saw what was suspected to be cocaine inside. Ivory was ordered to exit the vehicle and placed under arrest by other responding officers. 

Officers identified Williams as the operator of the vehicle and discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license and also had an arrest warrant issued by the Vermont Superior Court – Chittenden Unit.  

Williams granted consent to search the vehicle and about 141 grams of suspected cocaine was discovered inside of the vehicle.  

A deputy from the Windham County Sheriff’s Office and an officer from the Walpole Police Department assisted in the investigation. 

Williams and Ivory were taken to the Bellows Falls Police Department to be processed and both Williams and Ivory were ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on Dec. 2 at 12:30 p.m. Williams was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 cash/surety bail and Ivory was ordered held in lieu of $20,000 cash/surety bail.
