CLAREMONT, N.H. — The Claremont Senior Center is open every Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. There are many activities including pool, card games, cribbage, puzzles, mahjong, knitting and quilting, to name a few. There is also a Miracle Ear, American Red Cross Blood Drive and VNA Foot Clinic also scheduled.
The Claremont Senior Center will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24 through Jan. 1, 2025. The Center will reopen on Jan. 2, 2025, for its regular hours.
The phone number to reserve both takeout and dine-in lunch is 603-678-0433. Reservations are required for both. The menu for Thursday, Jan. 2 is soup, Salisbury steak, egg noodles, gravy, vegetables and a parfait cup. The menu for Tuesday, Jan. 7 is soup, baked beans, hot dogs, coleslaw and chocolate chip cookies. The price is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. Meals begin at 11:45 a.m. and takeout starts at noon.

The next Turkey Dinner will be on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Please make reservations before 3 p.m. by calling 603-678-0433 and indicate whether you are dining in or taking out, along with how many meals you need. The menu is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, cranberry sauce, dinner roll and dessert. The cost is $15 per meal.
Happy New Year! Come join the senior men’s breakfast on Monday, Jan. 20 at 8 a.m. The cost is $2 for members and $3 for non-members.
January Foot Clinics will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, and Wednesday Jan. 8, Jan. 25 and Jan. 22. These clinics are sponsored by Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice with a charge of $30. Make your reservation at 603-748-1731.
Bingo is held every Wednesday afternoon. Please purchase cards by 12:45 p.m.; games begin at 1. Concession is open until bingo starts.

“Wannabe” mahjong newcomers are welcome. Interested in learning the game? Please come on Fridays at 1 p.m.
Come show off your masterpieces! We are excited to see them, so come by on Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. and have a good time.
The Women to Women group will meet Thursday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. All women are welcome to come and talk about any issues they are experiencing.

Do you want to be part of the game of pool? Ladies play every Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. Men play Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Everyone is welcome.
Come tell your story with the quilting skills you want to share with other quilters at the quilting bee. You don’t have to be a quilter to attend; bring your own project. The next meeting is Monday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.
There will be no chair yoga on Monday, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30. The regular session will return on Jan. 13.
There will be no line dancing on Dec. 30. It will return on Jan. 6, 2025.
There is no tai chi for the month of December. Tai chi will return on Jan 8, 2025, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
The next Friday night bingo game will be on Friday, Jan. 10. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and games start at 6 p.m. This is open to the public; you must be 18 years of age to play. The next membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. This will give you a chance to hear what is happening with the Center and have a chance to win a free lunch.
