Woman arrested for violating release
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — A Springfield woman was arrested last month for violating her conditions of release when officers were responding to an early morning report of a potential domestic assault.
According to a release by the Springfield Police Department, on Dec. 21 at 1:13 a.m., officers were requested to investigate a potential domestic assault. The victim told officers that the defendant, Mckennie Gabert, 35, was violating the conditions of her release.
An investigation revealed that Gabert had allegedly violated her conditions of release. She was taken into custody and taken to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Gabert was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division Windsor Unit on Dec. 23, 2024, to answer to the alleged charge of Violation of Conditions of Release.
‘Family fight’ leads to two arrests
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — On Dec. 22 a 4:20 p.m., Springfield Police arrested two women for simple assault charges after responding to a “family fight” on Park Street.
According to a release by the Springfield Police Department, Shyanne Shipley, 19, and Diana Rodgers, 22, were both arrested.
“After conducting an investigation, including the collection of evidence, and witness interviews, probable cause was developed to issue the above named defendants citations to appear in Windsor County Superior Court, Criminal Division.”
Shipley and Rodgers appeared in court on Dec. 23 for the offense of Simple Assault.
Stolen bicycle recovered by police
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — On Jan. 5 the Springfield Police Department announced that they had recovered a bicycle that was stolen from the Main Street area between Jan. 4 and Jan. 5 in the “overnight hours.”
“We are seeking assistance from the community in identifying the owner of the bicycle,” a Facebook post on the Springfield Police Department Facebook page read. “Please reach out to Ofc Briere or Cpl Perkins if you have any information or believe the bicycle to belong to you. Identifying features will be requested to ensure that the bicycle is turned over to its rightful owner.”
