CLAREMONT, N.H. — The Well Collaborative NH, a newly founded grassroots organization dedicated to building a sustainable and dynamic hub to connect, empower, and support a thriving community, is kicking off its 2025 programming with a vibrant monthly Jazz Jam series. The first session is set for Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 72 Pleasant Street in Claremont. Suggested admission for the Jazz Jam Series is $5 for participating musicians or vocalists and $10 for audience attendees.
The mission of the new organization is to preserve our heritage and harness community strengths using creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration through education, music and the arts, and wellness programs. It is a project that will work in collaboration with the space at First Congregational Church located at 72 Pleasant Street in Claremont. This dynamic organization was incorporated as a New Hampshire nonprofit corporation in December 2024. By the end of 2025, the organization plans to transition to 501(c)3 nonprofit status.
The Well Collaborative NH is spearheaded by a dedicated Steering Committee, including Dana McGrath, Shawn Walch, Gabriel St. Pierre, Matthieu Fortier, Rob Thompson and Maggie Monroe-Cassel. The team met regularly throughout 2024 to establish the legal framework and develop an exciting slate of programs.
“The team was cultivated intentionally through suggestions made to and by Maggie Monroe-Cassel. Each of us brings unique talents, interests, and connections to guide new activities that welcome everyone” shared McGrath. “72 Pleasant Street is surrounded by history in a downtown location with enormous revival potential. This building makes so much sense as a gathering place for people to expand their perspectives, discover new experiences, reconnect, recharge, and simply be together as perfectly imperfect humans. The people of Claremont and our surrounding communities deserve that.”
The organization’s first-quarter calendar features programs designed to offer something for everyone. Highlights include:
- Educational Speakers: Topics include trauma-informed communication and practical clowning techniques for everyday life.
- Jazz Jams and Concerts: Hosted monthly as part of the Well Inspired music and arts series, coordinated by multi-talented area musician and composer Parker Eastman.
- LGBTQIA+ Activities: Including crafts with CT River Pride Center and a support group
- Reiki Shares, Singing Bowl Meditations and Drum Circles: Promoting wellness and relaxation.
Events will showcase local talent from both sides of the Connecticut River, celebrating regional strengths and creativity. Some activities have suggested monetary contributions, while others require tickets to be purchased.
The Well Collaborative NH invites the public to participate by attending events or suggesting new programming aligned with its three core pillars: Education, Music and the Arts, and Wellness. Local businesses are encouraged to consider sponsorship opportunities to support this growing initiative.
Together, let’s build a vibrant and sustainable community hub where creativity and collaboration thrive.
