Police arrest man for fentanyl possession, woman for trespassing 

 SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — A Springfield woman was arrested and charged with unlawful trespassing after she allegedly tried to unlawfully enter multiple residences. 

Sarah King, 45, of Springfield, Vermont, was arrested on Jan. 15 for unlawful trespassing. 

According to a release by the Springfield Police Department, at 8:57 p.m. and 9:20 p.m., King allegedly attempted to enter homes on Olive Street. Officers arrived and found an individual matching the description of the suspect and identified her as King.  

“The investigation revealed that Sarah had allegedly entered into multiple residences without permission from the respective occupants,” the report stated. 

King was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on March 11 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge. 

The Springfield Police also released information about the arrest of a Chester, Vermont, man who was arrested on Dec. 16 for allegedly possessing fentanyl that was found during a traffic stop. 

Joshua Snide, 39, of Chester, was arrested and charged with Criminal Driving with a License Suspended (DLS), Violation of Conditions of Release, Possession of Narcotic Drugs. 

According to the report, police stopped Snide for an alleged motor vehicle violation at 3:15 a.m. It was found that he was driving with a criminally suspended license, and his conditions of release also prohibited him from driving without a valid license. Police found the alleged drugs after he was arrested, adding to his list of charges. 

“During the processing, it was discovered the Snide was allegedly in possession of suspected fentanyl,” the report stated. 

Snide was cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Feb. 4.
