Stevens 57, Conant 36
After entering the half with a 26-20 advantage, the Cardinals took control of the game during the third quarter by outscoring Conant 19-8. The top scorers for Stevens were Owen Wilkinson with 18 points and Jacob Davis with 15. Stevens (2-8) hosts Fall Mountain in its next game on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Green Mountain 54, Springfield 28
Green Mountain improved to 8-5 with a convincing victory against the Cosmos on Friday night. Wyatt Koch paced the winners with 15 points, Tanner Swisher was next with 13, and Theo Schilling followed with 9. Springfield received 8 points apiece from Jameer Cosby and Bradley Gallant. Springfield (3-7) hosts Rivendell in its next contest on Tuesday, and Green Mountain (8-5) returns to action on Friday at Long Trail.
Newport 77, Derryfield 46
Christian Forsythe poured in 33 points and Aaron Fellows added 25 to lead the Tigers to a blowout victory against Derryfield. Newport (8-3) will be looking for its third straight win when they head to Hinsdale on Tuesday.
Kearsarge 56, Monadnock 45
The Cougars moved to 10-1 on the season following a double-digit victory against Monadnock. Eli Whipple was the top scorer for Kearsarge with 21 points, Bragen Kinzer was next with 11 and Ajay Tremblay added 10. Kearsarge has a busy week ahead with games against Conant, Hillsboro-Deering, and Newport.
Girls Basketball
Stevens 47, Conant 38
After losing to Conant by a single point earlier this season, Stevens evened the season series on Friday night in Jaffrey. Bella Bovell (14) and Bailey Morin (11) each scored double digits for the Cardinals. Stevens (4-7) hosts Fall Mountain in its next contest on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Fall Mountain 55, Mascoma Valley 19
The Wildcats defeated Mascoma in convincing fashion for the second time this season to move to 9-1. Sophia Grillone led a balanced attack for Fall Mountain with 11 points, Riley Beckwith was next with 8, and Abby Jarvis and Clara Stewart each added 7. Fall Mountain is currently tied for 2nd in the Division 3 standings, trailing only St. Thomas Aquinas, who stands at 10-0 on the season.
Monadnock 37, Kearsarge 29
Monadnock jumped out to a 14-6 lead and never looked back to move to 9-2 on the season. Ava Shapiro was Kearsarge’s top scorer with 8 points, Ociee Ilg was next with 7, and Miranda Anderson added 6. Cainen Avery paced Monadnock with 16 points.
