SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Springfield Police arrested a Chester man for having a criminally suspended license, and during processing it was found that the defendant was in possession of a drug suspected to be fentanyl.
According to a release by the Springfield Police Department, Joshua Snide, 39, of Chester, Vermont, was arrested on Dec. 16 and charged with Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Violation of Release and Criminal Driving Without a License.
On Dec. 16 at 3:15 a.m., a Springfield Police officer pulled Snide over for an alleged motor vehicle violation. It was also determined that he was driving with a criminally suspended license, and in violation of conditions of release that prohibited him from driving without a valid license.
While Snide was being processed at the police station, authorities allegedly found that he was in possession of fentanyl.
Snide was cited to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Feb. 4.
