CLAREMONT, N.H. — Claremont Fire Chief Jim Chamberlain said that it was business as usual despite winter storms on Friday and Sunday night, but the department did respond to a rollover accident on Sunday morning where firefighters needed to help an occupant exit his vehicle.
The Claremont Fire Department responded to a call on Sunday at 9:23 a.m. for an accident at Canter Place, which is off of East Green Mountain Road.
“There was a report of a motor vehicle accident with a rollover, and upon arrival we found the vehicle was on its side, off the road, in the brook next to the roadway,” Chamberlain said. “There was one occupant that we assisted with extrication, and it does not appear that there were any serious injuries.”
Chamberlain did not have information on the cause of the accident, or whether speed or weather was a factor.
