Newport 71, Hopkinton 67
NEWPORT, N.H. — Christian Forsythe scored a game-high 27 points and Aaron Fellows added 21 points to lead Newport to a key victory against Hopkinton. Newport (12-4) is currently tied for sixth in the Division 3 standings, and they are well-positioned to earn a home game in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers return to action on Thursday at Mascoma Valley (14-1) before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday at Hillsboro-Deering (1-12).
Conant 62, Fall Mountain 58
JAFFREY, N.H. — Following a low-scoring first half where they entered the break trailing 25-16, Conant erupted for 28 points in the third quarter to enter the final frame with a five-point edge. Fall Mountain found itself within two points during the final 30 seconds of the game, but they were unable to connect down the stretch. Ledger Willett paced Fall Mountain (9-5) with 20 points and Zach Hearne followed with 12. Dylan Adams led Conant (7-9) with 22 points and Jared Nagle added 21.
Springfield 65, Arlington 48
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — For the third time in four tries, the Springfield Cosmos came out on top on Monday night at Dressel Gymnasium. Springfield held a 32-22 halftime lead before extending their lead after the break. Bradley Gallant, Ollie Kelley and Nick Wiese each scored 16 points for the Cosmos (6-8) and Jameer Cosby added 13.

Fall Mountain 57, Conant 14
LANGDON, N.H. — Fall Mountain held a 31-9 lead at the half before cruising to a blowout victory on Monday night at The Den. Abby Jarvis (16), Riley Beckwith (12) and Sophia Grillone (9) were the leading scorers for the Wildcats. Fall Mountain (13-1) sits behind undefeated St. Thomas Aquinas for the top spot in the division.
Hartford 63, Green Mountain 32
CHESTER, Vt. — Green Mountain battled throughout the contest, bringing the deficit to as little as 13 during the third quarter before Hartford ran away with its 11th victory of the season. Colie Roby led Green Mountain with eight points and Ainsley Merrill was next with seven. Charlotte Jasmin was Hartford’s top scorer with 20 points. Green Mountain (7-7) heads to Bellows Falls on Thursday.
