Clifton “Tink” R. Marsh

MERIDEN VILLAGE, NH– Clifton “Tink” Roy Marsh, 90, passed at his home on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Tink was born at home in Orford, NH on February 19, 1934, to the late Roy and Grace (Cutler) Marsh. He attended schools in Orford, Windsor, VT, and Claremont.  As a child he enjoyed all things farm related and often had charge of his own steer. 

On March 5, 1955, he married Helen E. Woodbury. They spent 2 years in Virginia while Tink served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958. Upon returning to NH, they purchased and ran their dairy farm on Chellis Road in Meriden Village. They raised their family of 4 children while he worked at KUA. His interests remained in farming but also branched out to logging, excavation,and construction. In the early 1970’s he built his first spec house in Plainfield and went on to build more than 250 homes in Plainfield and Upper Valley area with his family business, Marsh Construction.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Robin) Marsh, Todd (Michelle) Marsh, and Mr. Jody Marsh;daughter, Jill (Steven) Tassinari; grandchildren, Kerry Marsh, Abigale Marsh, Jacob Marsh, Emily Noble, Travis Marsh, Anna Celaya, Trevor Marsh, and Justin Marsh; great-grandchildren,Ashlyn, Theodore, Juliet, Steele, Camila, Eleanor, Eliza, and Jett; brothers, Terry, Steve, Randy,and Mike; and sister, Patty Sclafani.

He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Helen E. (Woodbury) Marsh, in 2021 and seven siblings, Robert, Pamela, Russell, Doug, Beverly, Gary, and Ricky.

A celebration of Tink’s life will be held later in the spring.
