No. 5 Monadnock 48, No. 12 Kearsarge 45 (2OT)
SWANZEY, N.H. — Kearsarge entered the fourth quarter leading by eight, but the Huskies rallied to force overtime with the score tied at 40. Both teams could only muster a single score during the first overtime before Monadnock broke away during the second overtime for the victory.
Naimah Wilson paced Kearsarge with 19 points and Ava Shapiro had 12. Bailee Soucia led Monadnock with 15 points.
Kearsarge finished the season with an 8-11 record. Monadnock heads to fourth-seeded Gilford for its quarterfinal contest on Saturday.
Springfield 40, Mt. Anthony 37
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Springfield posted 16 points during the fourth quarter to rally for its second win of the season against Division 1 foe Mount Anthony.
Macie Stagner poured in 25 points and Harper Palmer added six points to lead the Cosmos to victory on Tuesday night at Dressel Gymnasium.
Springfield (7-11) hosts West Rutland in its next contest on Monday at 7 p.m.
Boys Basketball
Twin Valley 66, Springfield 62 (OT)
WHITINGHAM, Vt. — It took overtime for a winner to be decided, but for the second time this winter, Twin Valley eked out a victory against the Cosmos.
Brayden Brown was nearly unstoppable throughout the contest, posting 35 points for the victors. Bradley Gallant (21), Nick Wiese (16), and Jameer Cosby (14) each scored in double figures for the Cosmos.
Springfield is now 8-10 on the season.
Bellows Falls 61, Windsor 48
WESTMINSTER, Vt. — Windsor trailed by only six points at the half before the Terriers lead grew to 20 points during the final frame.
Bellows Falls started seniors Eli Allbee, Carson Clark, Andrew Dunbar, Will Hallock, and Doug Sterling in their final regular season game at Holland Gymnasium.
Jaden Bazin led the Terriers with 17 points and Allbee added 14. Tanner Crane was the top scorer for Windsor with 18 points.
Bellows Falls improved to 10-9 with the win, while Windsor dropped to 3-15.
Green Mountain 61, Arlington 48
ARLINGTON, Vt. — Green Mountain outscored the Eagles 25-8 in the second quarter to overcome an 18-10 deficit they faced after the first eight minutes of play.
Caleb Merrow paced Green Mountain with 20 points, Wyatt Koch was next with 14 and Tanner Swisher had 13.
Green Mountain moved to 13-6 with the victory.
