SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — A Springfield man was arrested for possession of suspected heroin/fentanyl after he was pulled over running a stop sign after being seen leaving a residence known for drug activity.
Brad Chase, 42, was arrested on Feb. 12 and charged with possession of heroin.
On Feb. 12 at 10:55 a.m., Springfield Police officers were patrolling in the area or Spring Street near a “known drug residence.” They saw a vehicle leaving the residence, who then allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of High Street and Park Street.
Police pulled the vehicle over and there were “various forms of drug paraphernalia” in sight within the vehicle. Chase, the operator of the vehicle, gave consent to search him and the vehicle, and it was found that he was allegedly in possession of what police suspected to be heroin or fentanyl.
Chase was arrested and processed at the Springfield Police Department. He was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on April 8 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charges.
