Basketball
Makenna Grillone, Colby-Sawyer College
The junior guard has started 40 out of 41 games in two seasons with the Chargers after beginning her collegiate career at the University of New England. Grillone is tied for fourth on the team in scoring this season at 7.3 points per game for the 9-15 Chargers.
Avery Stewart, Keene State College
The junior forward has started all 24 games this season after starting 15 out of 25 games for the Owls a season ago. Stewart is fourth on the team in rebounding this season at 4.5 rebounds per game, while also scoring 4.3 points per game for the 12-12 Owls.
Indoor Track & Field
Kelly Ranta, Colby-Sawyer College
The freshman harrier competed for the Chargers cross-country running team that won the GNAC Championship in the fall. Ranta is listed on the roster for Colby-Sawyer’s indoor track & field team but has yet to compete during the winter season.
Ben Tetu, Keene State College
The freshman distance runner was a key part of the Owls cross-country team that won the Little East Conference Championship in the fall. Tetu has continued to thrive this winter, establishing personal bests in the 800-meter run (2:09.20), 1 mile run (4:35.32), 3,000-meter run (8:59.49), and the 5,000-meter run (15:50.23). Tetu earned his top individual placement with a second-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the Plymouth State University Panther Invitational II on Feb. 1.
Troy Tenney, Keene State College
The freshman high jumper established his collegiate personal record by clearing 5’10.75″ at the Plymouth State University Panther Invitational I on Jan. 18. Tenney earned his top individual placement by finishing second in high jump at the Dartmouth Relays on Jan. 11.
