Fall Mountain Regional High School hosted its first Nordic skiing meet in several years on Feb. 19, and David Northcott and Matthew Northcott both made the podium by finishing first and third respectively in the boys’ sprint race.
David Northcott was the top racer with a time of 4:44.1, and Matthew Northcott was third clocking in at 5:01.3.
Other local skiers included:
Benjamin Clough of Kearsarge was fourth with a time of 5:09.8.
Braydon Patch of Fall Mountain was sixth with a time of 5:18.9.
Ned Stepp of Kearsarge was ninth with a time of 5:33.2.
Kelby Frenkiewich of Kearsarge placed 13th with a time of 5:58.7.
Zachary Hattan of Kearsarge was 15th with a time of 6:03.9.
Jacob Chabot of Kearsarge was 16th with a time of 6:06.9.
Andrew Brahan of Kearsarge was 17th with a time of 6:15.
Jaxson Blanc of Fall Mountain was 18th with a time of 6:37.2.
Lucas Tetu of Fall Mountain was 19th with a time of 6:37.5.
Tristan Stahler of Fall Mountain was 20th with a time of 7:03.4
Samuel Holobowicz of Sunapee was 21st with a time of 7:19.7.
Sawyer Willis of Sunapee was 22nd with a time of 7:34.2.
Garrett Trevino of Sunapee 2was 23rd with a time of 8:01.9.
In the relay race, Fall Mountain’s duo Braydon Patch and David Northcott took second place. Other local teams included Ben Clough and Ned Stepp of Kearsarge placing fourth; Kelby Frenkiewich and Jacob Chabot of Kearsarge in sixth; Zach Hattan and Andrew Brahan of Kearsarge in seventh; Matthew Northcott and Jaxson Blanc of Fall Mountain in eighth; Lucas Tetu and Tristan Stahler of Fall Mountain in 10th; and Sam Holobowiz and Sawyer Willis in 11th.
In the girls’ meet, Cerys Gascoyne of Fall Mountain was second with a time of 5:42.4, which was 8.2 seconds behind Megan Faris of Hanover.
Other local racers included:
Ava Valle of Kearsarge was third with a time of 5:48.6.
Katherine Blagden of Kearsarge was fourth with a time of 5:51.5.
Emma Gascoyne of Fall Mountain was eighth with a time of 6:17.6.
Ainsley Frenkiewich of Kearsarge was ninth with a time of 6:28.3.
Javiera Eliessetch of Kearsarge was 12th with a time of 7:29.3.
Haley Deegan of Kearsarge was 13th with a time of 7:33.4.
Clare Tuohy of Sunapee was 14th with a time of 9:07.9.
Maya Bourque of Sunapee was 15th with a time of 10:35.1.
Hannah Laflamme of Sunapee was 16th with a time of 13:02.6.
For the relay race, the Kat Blagdon and Ava Valle duo placed second behind Hanover’s team of Megan Faris and Greta Mancini.
Fall Mountain’s Emma Gascoyne and Cerys Gascoyne took third place; Ainsley Frenkiewich and Javiera Eliessetch of Kearsarge were sixth; Maya Bourque and Haley Deegan of Sunapee/Kearsarge took seventh; and Clare Tuohy and Hannah Laflamme of Sunapee were eighth.
